Terms of Service

Last updated 16 August 2026

These terms govern your use of Reviewee (“the Service”). By creating an account you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to do so.

The service

Reviewee lets you request reviews from your clients, moderate what you receive, and publish approved reviews on your own website through embeddable widgets and hosted pages.

Your account

  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
  • You must give accurate information and keep your email address current — we use it for service notices and password resets.
  • You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live.

Your content

Reviews submitted by your clients, and the client details you enter, remain yours. You grant us only the licence needed to operate the Service: to store that content, and to display approved reviews through the widgets and hosted pages you choose to publish.

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Publish reviews you wrote yourself, or that were not given by a real client, or that you have altered so they no longer reflect what the reviewer said.
  • Publish a review without the reviewer's knowledge that it may be shown publicly.
  • Publish content that is unlawful, defamatory, infringing, or that discloses someone's personal information without their consent.
  • Attempt to breach the Service's security, scrape it at scale, or interfere with other customers' use of it.

We may remove content or suspend an account that breaches these terms. Where practical we will tell you why first.

Review integrity

The value of this Service depends on reviews being genuine. Our review links are issued to identified recipients so a business can show a review came from a real client. Deliberately misrepresenting the origin of a review is a material breach of these terms, and in many jurisdictions is also unlawful consumer protection matter.

Plans, billing and refunds

  • Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe on a recurring basis until cancelled. Prices are shown on our pricing page.
  • You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for; we do not pro-rate partial periods.
  • If a payment fails we may retry it and may suspend paid features until it succeeds.
  • We may change prices with reasonable notice by email before the change applies to you.

Availability

We work to keep the Service available but do not promise uninterrupted service. We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the Service entirely, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your settings. Deleting your account permanently removes your organisation, clients, review links and reviews, and any widget or hosted page you have embedded will stop working.

Liability

The Service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law we exclude implied warranties, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is material we will notify you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.
